If you prefer to give a charitable donation, we're partial to Harvey Mudd College. We met there, after all!
Half an hour on an airplane, either there or back. It's about 4000 miles each way.
A place to stay for our Brussels day, and for the night before we strike off into the "wild".
Help us fuel up for the week of biking with delicious chocolate-y calories.
"Witness the traditional style of Belgian beer brewing and taste a traditional Gueuze-Lambic at Cantillon museum & brewery." We'll do our very best!
We'll be eating lunch every day. (We hope!) Once in Brussels before we start. Then in Leuven, Bornem, Ghent, Bruges, De Haan, and back in Bruges as we cycle our way across the Flemish countryside. ...
After two days on a bike, we're headed to the big city for the afternoon.
This bar is described as "the Mecca for beer lovers everywhere" and is said to have over 700 different kinds of beer available. Don't worry, we won't be trying them all. (On this trip.)
The biggest and baddest publishing house of the late 16th century. So cool it's on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Day three on the bike takes us from Bornem to Ghent, where we spend the night. 104 miles done!
Our days seem to be following a pattern: bike! explore! eat! sleep! This is the eating part.
Day four takes us from Ghent to Bruges. Then we circle around to De Haan, landing back in Bruges after our last day on the bike.
We're certain to have exhausted our chocolate stores after four days of riding. Time to resupply!
Our last brewery tour of the trip. It's been in operation since 1856. No one was even alive then!
Yep, there's an entire museum devoted to french fries. (Belgian fries?) We're there!
