Hello! "Safari" is a Swahili word meaning 'long journey.' What better way to start our own long journey? We'll be spending three weeks traveling from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to Nairobi, Kenya. Along the way we'll pass through Botswana, Zambia, sleep on the beaches of turquoise Lake Malawi, snorkel off the tropical island Zanzibar, and pass through the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania before ending in Nairobi, Kenya. Most of the time we'll be camping out in the bush, with a few nights in hotels at the ends and in Zanzibar. Thank you for being a part of our wedding and for helping us start our lives together!Mambwe, Zambia Tanzania Nairobi, Kenya Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania Kikiboga, Tanzania
Keep us warm while sleeping out in the bush by helping us buy new sleeping bags and mats!
We'll kick our honeymoon off with a hotel by Victoria Falls before embarking on a week of camping
Victoria Falls is a beautiful place to start our trip. Help us get into the Victoria Falls park!
Our journey continues through South Luangwa National Park, one of Zambia's premiere reserves for big game and beautiful landscapes. It supports large populations of Thornicroft's Giraffe, and herds...
We'll take a break from the bush to spend a few days sleeping on the beaches of beautiful Lake Malawi - a turquoise blue, fresh water lake full of tropical fish and hand made canoes.
We'll head to the Indian Ocean and camp on the beaches of Dar es Salaam before heading to Zanzibar.
We'll take a few days break from camping and upgrade to clean sheets for a few nights on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar.
This is our chance to take a break from camping food and have a few nice romantic dinners!
Zanzibar is a famous coffee growing region and we'll be missing our espresso quite a bit by this point in the trip.
On our way to the Serengeti, we'll make a quick stop at the Reptile Park to visit a few of Africa's creeping and crawling residents.
The Serengeti is the quintisential African safari. We're hoping to catch of the epic wilder beast migration, herds of zebras and elephants, and of course giraffes.
After another week of camping, we'll end our trip with a couple of nights in Nairobi before flying home.
Done with camp food for the trip, we'll have a few nice dinners in Nairobi.
