Chelsi and Robert
We're going to ICELAND!!! Rob and I are beyond excited as you could well imagine! What does this have to do with our registry webpage? Rob and I already have everything we could possibly want as far as household needs and gravy bowls go. What we could really use help with is our honeymoon! Our honeymoon is going to be a little unconventional because we are going to take it in July 2015, nearly a year after we tie the knot. With all of that said, instead of a typical wedding registry, we are going to have a honeymoon registry. If you would rather give a gift in person, through a check, cash, or gift card that is very much appreciated and you could always bring that to the wedding if you are uncomfortable contributing through the honeymoon registry. If you are unfamiliar with the idea of a honeymoon registry, fear not, this is not a new concept. A honeymoon registry enables wedding guests the opportunity to contribute to the honeymoon costs by paying for specific, small-scale portions. The way that this works is a certain amount of money is allotted to our wishlist item. For example, we may list a one night stay at a hotel that costs $100.00. Instead of paying the full amount, the cost would be broken down into smaller amounts that might say 4 @ $25. So, that means that the hotel stay costs $100, but you have more flexibility with your choices and the gift can be spread among many people instead of just one. This will help us pay for things throughout our honeymoon and also help pay for backpacking gear so we can be ready for our grand adventure. Thank you all, lots of love, Robert and Chelsi
