Tessi and Cory
Thank you all for visiting our Honeymoon Registry! Since we'll be combining two already established households, Cory and I found that what we really want, for our wedding, is the gift of memories. I've dreamed of returning to Venice for my honeymoon since I first walked its musty streets, and we're eager to share this experience as one of the first of our married life. If you'd like to help us, please wander through our registry and select the items you'd like to give us. Purchase them as you would buy a gift online, and we'll be informed of your gift...or you can send us a card with a note of what you purchased. Again...thank you SO MUCH for your loving gift. Even if you choose not to buy anything here, I hope you enjoy perusing and imagining our trip with us. It's going to be beautiful.El Paso, Texas Paris, France Mariupol', Ukraine Sokolivka, Ukraine St Louis, Missouri
Passports in hand, stomachs quivering in excitement, we'll board a plane for our long flight over, the beginning of twelve amazing days together!
It's not the best food, and it's ridiculously expensive, but it's better than what they serve ON the plane!
Tessi will definitely not be able to make it all the way to Europe without Chai from an Airport Starbucks! Buy her one and make her VERY happy!! (And Cory happy, because she's happy. See? Win-Win!)
While Tessi's having Chai, Cory will need...something. We haven't been sleeping a lot since the wedding, so he'll probably be tired enough for an energy drink...or maybe a hot green tea...
Jet-Lagged upon arrival, we might not be very adventurous for dinner. Italy...Spaghetti?
We'll be walking most of the time, but a Water Bus pass will allow us to see the glass factories on the outlying island of Murano, and visit Cemetery Island. And don't forget about a tour up the Gr...
Oops! Forgot about this one! We're going to need an Airport Bus (yes, it's a boat!) to get to our Bed and Breakfast!
Art, Architecture, History. We want to see these, and not all of them are free! Help us get into some of the most well-known attractions in Venice!
Cory says we absolutely CANNOT honeymoon in Venice without a Gondola ride. I do believe it's the epitome of romance. We'll only go once, but the Gondoliers must be paid, so...
Because it's the most wonderful dessert ever created, and Cory's NEVER had it, we MUST have...Gelato!
It isn't Romantic Italy without Pizza by candlelight at a little shop on the edge of a plaza.
St. Mark's Square, the most beautiful place you will ever be at night. Also, the only place that can charge you $20 for a cup of tea. But...candles in every window, a live band playing, accordion g...
No one does pasta like Italy, and with good reason. Our Bed and Breakfast provides a kitchenette so that, after a long day wandering the damp streets, we can bring home pasta and make our own delig...
European churches inspire awe and peace, making a holy place comfortably accessible by keeping their doors always open. With so many loved ones at home, we will want to light candles in prayer and ...
Our last night in Venice, and we'll spend part of it in the lovely sitting room of our Bed and Breakfast, then sleep not nearly enough, and wake early to say "Goodbye!" to Venice (for now) and "Hel...
A long-time fan of "Amadeus", Cory has always wanted to try Venus Nipples. I'm sure once we get into a pastry shop, I won't be able to pull him out without three or four other delights...
I, on the other hand, will need something non-pastry to eat. Bread and cheese? Yes, please!
There is so much art in Venice, we'll want to be sure and pick up something hand-painted to bring home for our new home together.
One of the VERY first things I want to share with Cory (after enthusiastic hugs from family, of course) is the wonder that is French Bread. Ooooohhhh. Cannot wait.
Really, these are two different items because I could NOT pick a picture. Crepes are one of the most beautiful foods out there...
Really, there MIGHT be more to France than food, but...I'm not sure what it is! (Family cannot be bought...and we're SO excited about them...especially the new baby that'll be keeping us up some ni...
Because it's Me, and Cory, there will have to be tea. Tea to drink, tea to bring home, tea for the plane.
There are always Other Things. The deodorant you forgot to pack. The towel that the maid stole in Venice. The shoelaces that broke. The silly souvenir that you cannot resist. The coins for the publ...
Exhausted and oh, so happy with our amazing adventure, we will sadly bid farewell to France and return home to begin "real life" together, as a married couple!!
The trip isn't over until you're home, and you can't get home without gas. For you practical-gift-buyers...this is it!
