Liz and Slava
Did you know Cyrillic was invented in Bulgaria?
We'll be traveling to Bulgaria for ten days for our honeymoon. We'll travel the countryside, see farms and villages, as well as the city of Sofia, and have difficulty communicating with people.
The following plans for our honeymoon are in no particular order.
We promise to send you postcards from Bulgaria! Well, we promise to write them in Bulgaria anyway.
Ok ok, so we'll get there even if you don't help pay for our ticket.
This Monestary is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will stay the night in monklike conditions! Not very a traditional honeymoon night, I know, but think of the rest we will get!
Bulgaria still runs old timey trains. Quite slowly, I hear! No dining car, plenty of smoking cars, windows that open, and incredible scenery.
countryside! We want to see it! I know Slava lives in the country, but it's different in a different country.....
I heart goats, and pretty soon Slava will too. We are going to seek out this kind of backroad scene and milk it for all it's worth.
Bulgaria has a rich Jewish heritage, and we're gonna see some of it!
This Temple is in Sophia, but there are places to be seen all over.
Bulgaria has a rich selection of Mosques, and we're gonna visit some!
This church is a UNESCO world heritage site in Sofia. Bulgaria is home to many ancient churches.
This place looks incredible. We want to spend a few days.
They say this Ethnographic Museum is fantastic.
We'll need to buy the locals a few drinks to find out what the real good sites are.
They say Bulgaria is home to wine that won't leave you with a hangover. We are going to test this theory.
Bulgaria is famous for its yogurt. We plan to start each day with some, and we'll probably snack on it inbetween meals.
We'll eat it with or without you....
We can't live on wine, yogurt, and love alone, so Slava will have to find us some vegetarian fare (well, for me anyway). I hear they have amazing salads.
What's a honeymoon registry?
Wanderable is a new and unique honeymoon registry that allows wedding guests to gift
meaningful and memorable experiences to a newlywed couple.
Similar to a traditional registry where the couple registers for gifts,
couples will create a Wanderable registry website where guests can choose a thoughtful
experience to give based on their unique relationship with the couple.
Couples who choose Wanderable want a beautiful experience to help begin their journey together.
A marriage is about the experience of life and the journey you are just beginning together.
Wanderable believes that this is at the core of marriage. And the only way to help a
couple celebrate this is to provide a meaningful wedding gift of one of the first experiences
of this journey together.
Wanderable helps couples get started on their journey by providing a unique way for
guests to give more than a thing, but a gift of a new life experience the couple can share.
We believe that experiences can be made into memorable gifts, that feel as real as receiving
any other gift you can unwrap.
