We're headed to the Western Mediterranean! Woohoo!! We'll ferry over to Morocco for a few days in Tangiers and Chefchaouen the Blue City before we head back to Spain. From our home base in Mijas we'll explore Ronda, Seville, Grenada (and the Alhambra!), a nearby national park, and Gibraltar. Southern Spain is famous for its sherry, so we'll be certain to do some tastings while we're there. And, finally, after all that adventure, we hope to take some substantial time to slow down and relax to the sounds of the Mediterranean Sea--which thankfully will be right outside our door! One of the criteria for us as we explored honeymoon destinations was that we wanted to go somewhere neither of us has ever been, so it would be new for both of us. As you might imagine, this was a pretty challenging task! Spain came up early on and then faded to the background. It resurfaced again in conversation with others who have traveled there before, and it stuck. Thanks to a very generous gift, our accommodations in Spain are taken care of--so now we just have to get there and figure out what to do. :) We are so thankful for the community we have and the opportunity to celebrate this moment together.
