Jenny and Mathew
Rather than registering for traditional household items (we do have a small NY apartment after all!) we decided to register for our dream honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar. We're so happy to have you share in our wedding day, and can't wait to send you photos and tell you all about our trip. Thank you so much for helping us go on this adventure!Zanzibar, Tanzania Tanzania Zanzibar Town, Tanzania Pingwe, Tanzania Kiwengwa, Tanzania
We'll spend the first 4 nights of our honeymoon at this bush camp. We'll lodge in a private safari tent with opportunities to catch glimpses of wildlife. Covering 45,000km² of wilderness, with gras...
In the mornings we will embark on boat rides to the Rufiji river in search of hippos, crocodiles, and other animals visiting the river for a drink or a bath.
These fees will allow us to enter the reserve for our safari adventure!
These fees go towards the conservation of the Selous Game Reserve. This reserve is one of the more isolated in Africa, and the fees help preserve the animals' natural habitat.
After a few days in the bush, we'll journey to Zanzibar, and spend our first two nights there at the Matemwe Retreat. We can't wait-- we'll stay in a private villa, and have our meals delivered to ...
Your gift will allow us to indulge in a massage on our private veranda (with our very own plunge pool!) with views of the Indian Ocean.
A popular activity in Zanzibar is a spice tour. We'll learn about the history of the spice trade on our visit to the spice plantations.
We'll spend the day searching for dolphins, picnicking on the beach, and swimming in the clear waters.
On this village walk, we will have the opportunity to learn about the local way of life. Your donation will be given to a project benefiting the local community.
This will be the third stop on our adventure. We found a small B&B owned by an Italian couple on one of the prettiest stretches of beach in all of Zanzibar, where we'll stay for 6 nights. We hear t...
We'll explore the coastline in one of these local carved wood boats, traditionally used for fishing.
We'll share a bottle of wine while admiring the views of the Indian Ocean.
On New Year's day, we'll travel to this gorgeous, historic hotel for a night in Stone Town, the cultural capital of Zanzibar.
The views from this historic building are unparalleled. We'll admire the view over cocktails as the sun goes down.
We're looking forward to enjoying the tasting menu at what is meant to be the best restaurant in Stone Town.
We'll end our trip with a two-night stay at Chumbe Island Coral Park. It's an award-winning private nature reserve that was developed for the conservation and sustainable management of the then-uni...
A really cool camera to help us remember our amazing trip. It can take video and still shots at once, and is super fast, so we can get a shot of that elusive cheetah. Can't wait to send you pictures!
