Meg and Fred
Thank you for being flexible and contributing to our honey fund! We plan on vacationing in Italy and Spain in September. We'll start in Italy, flying into Rome and spending a few days there. Next we will travel to Corsica and Sardinia, two magical islands nearby. Next we will fly to Naples and explore the fascinating Amalfi Coast, including Meg's lifelong dream of seeing Capri (where Graham Greene always wrote his novels).
After we get back to Naples, we'll fly to Barcelona, one of Fred's favorite European cities. We'll take a train up to Ribes de Freser, in the Pyrennes. Finally, we'll take the train down to Tarragona to soak in some last minute Spanish sun and culture before heading back to LA via Barcelona.
Ribes De Freser, Spain
Los Angeles, California
We plan on spending 2 nights in Rome before leaving for Corsica/Sardinia.
Meg is a huge Roman history lover - including the wonderful story "I, Claudia" by Robert Graves. Fred has not been to these sites, and was a big fan of HBO's "Rome," so our interests certainly over...
Several blogs have mentioned that the food at Osteria Bonelli and Farine is simple but amazing. We can't wait to taste the oysters...
Flights from Rome to Sardinia are pretty cheap - thanks, Ryanair!
We will spend 3 nights in a combination of Sardinia and Corsica. It depends on how much French Meg remembers!
Another quick flight - from Sardinia to Naples. We are almost to Capri!
In order to tool around Amalfi, we will need a car. Woo!
More seafood, we hope!
One night on the Amalfi Coast. Wow!
A fast ferry to Capri!
We plan on at least 2 nights in Capri. Meg wants to track down Graham Greene's local house there.
A quick flight to Barcelona, Fred's previous residence.
Seeing the sights, especially in the city center. Fun!
While in Barcelona, we may swing by Can Vies, an abandoned municipal building in Barcelona's working-class Sants neighborhood, taken over by artists and musicians and squatters who are down on thei...
Can't wait to sample some Spanish food...
A train up to the Pyrenees!
Staying up in the Pyrenees. Awesome!
Our last mini trip will be to Tarragona, a wonderful beach community not far from Barcelona.
Last few nights in Tarragona!
Yummy Spanish food. We can't wait!
There will inevitably be things we forget. Feel free to pick this if you have something you want to suggest for us to do in Spain and Italy, too!
Back to LA, this time from Barcelona.
What's a honeymoon registry?
Wanderable is a new and unique honeymoon registry that allows wedding guests to gift
meaningful and memorable experiences to a newlywed couple.
Similar to a traditional registry where the couple registers for gifts,
couples will create a Wanderable registry website where guests can choose a thoughtful
experience to give based on their unique relationship with the couple.
Couples who choose Wanderable want a beautiful experience to help begin their journey together.
A marriage is about the experience of life and the journey you are just beginning together.
Wanderable believes that this is at the core of marriage. And the only way to help a
couple celebrate this is to provide a meaningful wedding gift of one of the first experiences
of this journey together.
Wanderable helps couples get started on their journey by providing a unique way for
guests to give more than a thing, but a gift of a new life experience the couple can share.
We believe that experiences can be made into memorable gifts, that feel as real as receiving
any other gift you can unwrap.
