Items on our Registry

Price: $100

We will be bringing over donations to volunteer groups in both Uganda and Tanzania. The tour operators we are working with both are locally owned by citizens of Uganda and Tanzania, so they have close ties with the communities and their needs. As we get closer to our trip we will be purchasing and/or taking donations for school and medical supplies to bring with us based on what is most needed in the community. If you have any questions about this please let us know!

Rhino Trekking
Fully gifted!

With the constant pressure of poaching throughout Africa of the rhinos this small conservation park is truly sanctuary for these critters. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary's goals are to rescue, rehabilitate, and release rhinos back into the wild. They also have a breeding program in order to increase the population size - these calves too will eventually work towards being released.

Gorilla Trekking Permits in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Price: $2,100

There are currently only about 790 Mountain Gorillas left in the world and nearly half of them live in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Unfortunately, their habitats are getting smaller and the increase in poaching of these animals puts a serious strain on the species to survive. By helping us go see the gorillas, you will also be contributing to the fight against poaching in Eastern Africa. The money goes directly to conservation programs for these amazing creatures and helps fund the 24 hour armed surveillance teams which protect them. We will be trekking to see the gorillas two separate days!

Trekking Kilimanjaro is a once in a lifetime kind of trip. To be able to look out over Africa from 19,341 feet will be no easy task, but the work will be worth the views! The Northern Circuit is a 9 day hiking trip which will help us to acclimatize to the altitude and decreased oxygen in the air which will give us the best chance of making it to the summit! The Northern Circuit is also one of the less crowded routes up the mountain so we will be able to enjoy our hike with a small group.
